We are delighted to share our latest Annual Review for the previous financial year, April 2023 – March 2024.
During the year we delivered four rainwater harvesting programmes in India. We also commenced a new programme in Uganda with our local partner ‘Masaka District Land Care Chapter’ (MADLACC) and a pilot programme in Ghana with our local partner Saha Global.
We continue to work in remote areas, where climate change greatly affects the vulnerable communities who are still lacking access to a source of clean water close to their homes or schools.
With your help over the last 37 years, WaterHarvest has directly supported over two million people, worked in over 2,000 villages, and built structures to harvest 1.68 billion litres of rainwater annually.
The ‘Future Plans’ section of the Annual Review details the work we are currently carrying out for our financial year 2024/25. We are thrilled that by August 2024 we had:
- built 61 tanks at eleven schools in Uganda. Our extensive tank build programme is continuing at the remaining schools until mid 2025.
- completed work on our first dugout in Sinsina. In November we will start work on another dugout at the Tacpuli community located in the North-East Gonja District.
We rely on donations to deliver our work and have a great community of supporters who want to make a difference.
There are many ways you can join us and help bring clean water to remote, vulnerable communities
